The rain always brings surprises!!!

Today was a day FULL of RAIN! We have learned up here in the cold wet north that when it rains we get little surprises! Gwen opened the front door this morning and in jumped a little tree frog...right into our front entryway. He got lost in our shoe basket....but we found him hopping around the living room a few hours later. Later that evening we stepped out onto our front porch and met our little friend SLUG. We have seen this guy before...whenever it rains he always ends up on the same spot on our front porch. Will and Gwen and Maggie laughed and giggled and took turns touching his slimy little sluggy skin (don't worry we all washed our hands before dinner). We look forward to see what the rain brings out way next time!

    the slug might have to be reassigned to a different location at my house...my boys would most likely step on him to see what comes out.

    we too are getting monsoon weather...which is amazing and so cool..actually it's still very hot! But I love to see a HOT rain coming from miles away.

    I love the smell of the air after a fresh rain storm. My kids would love the creatures and Hunter would want to keep the frog. The rain would be refreshing right now in this heat but I wouldn't change the heat for the cold either.
