The move is official!! For all of those of you out there that did not know we have moved to Orofino Idaho (2 hours southeast of Spokane Washington).
We survived snowy roads, rain, sleet, crying/fighting kids, a teething baby, three feet of snow in our new driveway, a stuck U-HAUL, and many other unmentionable things..but we made it! Along with the negative we had a lot of positive and feel very blessed to have had wonderful friends and family that helped get us on our way (you know who you are..)A big thanks to Grandpa Bill who drove our UHAUL all the way up here on tiny windy roads, and then got stuck in bad weather going home and couldn't get home for 2 days! When we finally arrived there were 8 men from the ward that unloaded the truck in an hour! The ward members up here have been great. I (Summer) am slowly learning to drive in the snow, we live up in the mountains and have this windy road that leads up to our neighborhood! The view out the windows of our home is beautiful, the view inside is vintage wallpaper from the 80's....green and pink flowers, and blue and brown grapes...my favorite is the coordinating purple wallpaper and carpet in the master bedroom. The deer are frequent guests in our front yard....the kids are lovin it! We feel like we are in for a grand adventure, and although we miss all our loved ones back in Utah we know that this is where we are suppose to be, so after many tears and heart wrenching goodbyes we now can say hello Orofino...ready or not here we come!
Summer, thanks for posting some pictures for us! We need to see that sweet wallpaper & plush carpet on the inside. We're gonna put on our heaviest plaid coats and boots and journey up there for Lumberjack Days to compete n the log roll..oh yeah baby..you're goin down!
ReplyDeleteWe miss you guys already. I just hope that there are fast food restaurants there because if not Tyler will probably never call me again.

Hey that is great decorating....I think that you should keep it. Then the house will not sell and you will ensure yourselves a place to live. Ha ha ha. We miss you guys and we explained to the kids the other night that Gwen and Will moved and they want to send letters. And Kenna asked "you mean they are in a new house far away like Grandma" Love you guys. It is great to see the place.
